On the afternoon of December 10, 2025, Mr. Han Zhu, a researcher at the China Research Institute of Fudan University, the director of the Hong Kong Shangdao Social Research Institute, a researcher at the Shanghai Chunqiu Comprehensive Research Institute, and a columnist for Observer Network, was invited to the second floor, Room 617 of the Liberal Arts Building of Jiang'an Campus of our institute to give a special academic lecture titled "The Great Historical Process of Thought - The Origin and World Significance of New Era Chinese Characteristics Socialism" to the teachers and students. This lecture was presided over by Professor Liu Xiao, the vice dean of the college, and representatives of the college's teachers and students actively participated.

During the lecture, Professor Hanzhu focused on two core topics: "The Origin, Definition and Development of Socialism" and "The Practice and Development of Socialism in China". He systematically expounded the historical connections and theoretical distinctions between utopian socialism, utopian communism and the scientific communism proposed by the classic Marxist writers, and particularly made a clear and profound analysis of the differences and connections among the three from the perspective of academic history.

Subsequently, Professor Hanzhu delved deeply into the historical origins and practical foundation of the construction of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, and profoundly expounded on the significant issue of how to uphold and develop socialism in a country with a long history and a large population like China.

This lecture not only broadened the theoretical horizons of both teachers and students, but also holds significant importance for strengthening their confidence in the path, theory, system and culture.
