The Online Cultural Works Collection Activity of "the Heart of Youth to the Party, the Celebration of the 20th National Congress"

This year is the year of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, but also the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Youth League of China. In order to inspire the patriotic feelings and the aspiration of strengthening the country of young students and express the impassioned feeling of praising the People's Republic of China and building a New Era of Dreams, the Propaganda Media Center of the Graduate Student Union of our college started an online cultural works collection activity that entitled "the Heart of Youth to the Party, the Celebration of the 20th National Congress", and held an offline final at 10:00 a.m. on May 26th in the conference room 617 of the second district in the Liberal Arts Building. These teachers of the College of Marxism were served as the judges of the competition. They are Ms. Ji Mingbo, the Chief of the Propaganda Department, Ms. Xing Haijing, the Secretary of the Youth League Committee and the Chief of the Student Affairs, Ms. Li Mingyue, the Undergraduate Counselor, and Ms. Sang Wanqing, the Party and Government Office.

This activity selected three tracks of short videos, photographic pictures and poster design through online solicitation and preliminary screening, among which 27 works entered the offline final. In the final, contestants explained their works from the content topics, creative composition, technical techniques and other aspects. From different angles the works showed the beautiful moments of the change of the four seasons in Sichuan University, the arduous course of the Communist Party of China leading the people in a hundred years of struggle, and conveyed the strong call on inspiring and striving.

Four judges commented on this activity and the works of the contestants. Ms. Ji Mingbo encouraged students to change the traditional publicity and use their major to tell Chinese stories well. Ms. Li Mingyue commented on the spiritual outlook and ability skills of the contestants. Ms. Sang Wanqing encouraged the contestants to show more confidently and affirmed their creativity. Finally, Ms. Xing Haijing summarized this competition from the aspects of activity organization, theme and quality of works, and attentively political expression.

The collection activity of online cultural works aims to stimulate the creativity of young students, promote learning through competition, and encourage students to keep up with the pace of The Times to make better use of new media to carry out ideological and political education, tell good stories of party history, and express patriotic feelings.
