In order to enhance the understandingofand interest in China's history and cultureamongUIPInternationalExchangeProgram participants, on July 5, theSchool of Marxism organizedthe students to visit Jianchuan Museum. The visitwas led by Dr. Zhang Renfeng and Ms. Zhang Shanshan.
Chinese andinternationalteachers and students gatheredatthe west gate of Wangjiang campus and went to Jianchuan museum together. Jianchuan museum is divided into fourareas:the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression,thered era, folk customs andpost-quake relief. Teachers and students selecteddifferent areas to visit according to their majors and interests. Finally, all the teachers and students entered the 5.12Wenchuan EarthquakeMemorialMuseum. Atthe breathtaking moment of life and death, whichseemed to behappenedin front of their own eyes,everyonepaused again and again.However,the spirit of "oneareahas difficulties, allareasoffer to help"reducedthefearfornatural disasters andreplaced it with awe forthe strength of unity. On the way back, Chinese and internationalteachers and students reflected upontoday's visit.Internationalstudents havegained adeeper understanding of Chinese history,culture and spirit. Students of Sichuan University also feltthe great power of the motherland,herspirit and culture.
